Q: I have just installed Google Drive on my system. I have some files in Dropbox that I’d like to move into Google Drive in the simplest possible way. How do I do this?

– A Question from Google Drive Help Forum

To copy Dropbox to Google Drive, the easiest way is copying and pasting. Below, we will outline an easy way to move files from Dropbox to Google Drive.

How to Move from Dropbox to Google Drive

Step 1Open Google Drive, create a folder called Dropbox.

Step 2Go to the local Dropbox folder on the desktop, select the files you want to move and pick to copy.

Step 3Paste the file on Dropbox folder you just created on Google Drive.

Step 4Once Drive syncs these files, you can click and drag to move your files around and reorganize them.

Once the files have been successfully moved and organized in Drive, you can delete them from Dropbox so you don’t have two versions of your files out there.

The Bottom Line

As you can see, copying Dropbox to Google Drive isn’t hard at all. Now, follow the steps above and have a try.
