Extract HTC Device Data

Step 1: Preparations.

Do as following:
  • Install and launch PhoneRescue for HTC on your computer
  • Connect HTC device to computer with the USB cable

In order to make your device detectable by PhoneRescue for HTC automatically, please check you have enabled USB debugging option on your HTC device. If your HTC device is not detected, the interface below will display.

When PhoneRescue for HTC detects your device successfully, the interface below will display. All types of files supported to extract will display on the interface, you are able to selectively choose the data you want to extract.

If your HTC device is not detected by PhoneRescue for HTC, please try to solve the issue by the steps below:

① Please download the latest version of PhoneRescue for HTC.

② Please check if you have enable USB debugging option in Settings.

③ Please check whether your USB cable is loose. If it is, please reconnect it. If USB cable is broken, please give new one a try.

④ Please make sure your device can be detected by your computer.

⑤ Check whether you have the latest version of USB Driver and ADB Driver on your computer and device. If not, download and update from HTC official website.

⑥ If problem persists, please contact our Support Team for further diagnosis.

Step 2: Analysis.

Do as following:
  • Click Next button & Tap Quick Scan
  • Be patient for the analyzing process

After you click the Next button, the interface below will display. Next, please click Quick Scan to analyze your device data.

After you click the Quick Scan button, the data on your HTC device will be scanned thoroughly. The amount of the data on device decides the time to complete the scanning process. You can click the button to stop the scanning process at any time.

Step 3: Extraction.

Do as following:
  • Select the data you want to export
  • Click button to export data to computer
  • Keep patient for the extracting process

When the scanning process is completed, you can preview all data listed. And you can select the desired data to save to computer. If you want to search data quickly, you can type the key words in the right corner of the window. To set the output format, please click the button on the left corner of the window.

It may take a few minutes to finish the recovery process based on the amount of the data you choose. You can click the “View Files” to check the exported data once the extraction process completes. To click the “Start Over” option, you will go back to the main interface.
