At the beginning, please ensure that the USB debugging option on your MOTOROLA device is launched. By default, PhoneRescue for MOTOROLA will detect your device. If you do not connect your MOTOROLA device to computer and your MOTOROLA device is not be detected, you will see “Please connect your device to start recovery” message.
When you connect android device to Windows computer at the first time, your computer will install USB Driver for your device automatically.
After your MOTOROLA device is recognized, it will show the main interface of PhoneRescue for MOTOROLA. And all file types supported by PhoneRescue for MOTOROLA will be listed. You can uncheck the boxes in the front of categories that you don’t want to scan or recover before starting the scanning process.
If PhoneRescue for MOTOROLA fails to recognize your device, you may try these troubleshooting steps to solve this problem.
To launch Deep Scan function automatically, please make sure that you have rooted your MOTOROLA device already. If not, PhoneRescue for MOTOROLA will root your device at first. Once the rooting process starts, the interface below will be displayed. Please keep patient since the rooting device may take a few minutes.
Once the rooting process finishes, PhoneRescue for MOTOROLA will scan your device by default. It may take a few minutes to analyze your device based on the amount of data on your device.
The scanning result will be displayed once the scanning process is completed. You can view both lost and existed data on your device. Choosing the option "Only list deleted" is to only view the lost data. But if you choose the option “Only list existed”, you can view all existed data on your device. To find your truly needed data, please type key words in the search box.
After choosing the specific data to retrieve, please click the Recover button. If you click ( To Computer ), the scanned data will be restored to your computer. If you click ( To Device ), you can recover the personal data (Contacts, Messages, Call Logs, Calendar) to your device.
1. Please make sure that the Internet connection is stable during the recovery process.
2. Please don’t disconnect your device during the recovery process.
When the recovery process finishes, you will see Recovery Completed interface. If you want to check the location of recovered data, please click “View Files” option. To go back to the main interface, please click “Start Over” option.
