How to Use PhoneRescue for SONY

Extract SONY Device Data

Step 1: Preparations.

Do as following:
  • Install PhoneRescue for SONY on your computer and launch it
  • Connect SONY device to computer with the USB cable

Before launching PhoneRescue for SONY, please make sure you have enabled USB debugging option on your SONY device. By default, PhoneRescue for SONY will recognize your device automatically once you connect the device to computer with USB cable. If your device isn’t recognized, the interface of PhoneRescue for SONY will display as below:

Connecting Your Android Device

When the SONY device is detected, the interface below will display. By default, all types of files will be selected. You can uncheck any kind of files you don’t want to extract based on your needs.

If your SONY device is not detected by PhoneRescue for SONY, please try to solve the issue by the steps below:

① Please download the latest version of PhoneRescue for SONY.

② Please check if you have enable USB debugging option in Settings.

③ Please check whether your USB cable is loose. If it is, please reconnect it. If USB cable is broken, please give new one a try.

④ Please make sure your device can be detected by your computer.

⑤ Check whether you have the latest version of USB Driver and ADB Driver on your computer and device. If not, download and update from SONY official website.

⑥ If problem persists, please contact our Support Team for further diagnosis.

Step 2: Analysis.

Do as following:
  • Click Next button & Tap Quick Scan
  • Waiting for the analyzing process

After you click the Quick Scan button, the data on device will be scanned automatically.

It may take a few minutes to complete the scanning process. Meanwhile, the time may varies due to the amount of data on your device. Please be patient. If you want to stop the scanning process, please click the button.

Step 3: Extraction.

Do as following:
  • Select the data you want to export
  • Click button to export data to computer
  • Be patient for the extracting process

Once the scanning process completes, all the existed data on your SONY device will be displayed as below. By default, all types of data will be selected. If you don’t want to extract some types of files, you can uncheck these types of data to save more time. You can also click the button on the left corner of the page to set the output format of all data.

Recover to Computer

The recovery process will last for a few minutes based on the amount of data you choose to extract. As the extraction process completes, you can click “View Files” to check the extracted data. If you want to go back to the homepage, please click “Start Over” option.
