If you often need access to your Facebook videos, it is worth learning the procedure on how to download videos from Facebook to iPhone. That way you can save videos like other offline videos on your device.
Facebook is the world’s largest social media network and billions of people post their text status, photos, and videos on the platform’s website. While Facebook is not actually built for videos, it does have a huge number of videos available on it. The issue with these videos is that only a few people know how to save them on the iPhone.
However, that does not mean it is difficult for you to download Facebook videos to your iPhone. There is a built-in option in Facebook that lets you save videos and there are even a few third-party ways to help you download videos from the social giant.
In the following guide, you will learn various methods to save videos from Facebook to your iPhone. Since both iPhone and iPad use the same operating system, you can use these steps on an iPad as well.
If you have noticed while watching a video on Facebook, the official Facebook app offers you an option to save that video. Do not confuse it with saving the video to your Camera Roll as while it does help you save the video, it does so inside of the Facebook app and not in your Camera Roll.
Using this save feature, you can have your favorite videos saved to the Facebook app on your iPhone. Then when you feel like watching those videos, you can do that by launching the app on your device.
Step 1. Download and install Facebook on your iPhone if you do not already have it.
Step 2. Launch the app and sign-in to your account. Access the video that you wish to download to your iPhone. On the video page, you will find a down-arrow icon at the top-right of your screen. Tap on the arrow and then select the option that says Save video.
Step 3. It will save the video to your Facebook account and it can be accessed from your other devices as well. To access it on your iPhone, tap on the three horizontal lines at the bottom-right corner of your screen and then select Saved on the following screen.
Step 4. You will find your saved video on your screen. If you do not see the video or if you have a lot of other content saved in there, tap on the filter icon at the top-right corner and select Videos.
It will then only show the videos you have saved in your Facebook account.
While the official Facebook app method gets the job done, it does not move the video to your Camera Roll and also it does not make the video file available as a standalone file. If that is what you are looking for, you might want to use a third-party app.
There are two apps you can use to download Facebook videos to your iPhone and those are described below.
Browser and Documents Manager is actually a file manager but it allows you to download content as well on your iPhone. Using this app, you can easily download any video from Facebook by just using the video’s full link.
Step 1. Download and install Browser and Documents Manager on your iPhone.
Step 2. Launch the Facebook app on your device, find the video you want to download, open the video, tap on the Share button, and select the option that says Copy Link. It will copy the full link of the video to your clipboard.
Step 3. Launch the Browser and Documents Manager app on your device. When it launches, tap on Browser at the bottom, type in the URL savefrom.net, and hit Go.
Step 4. When SaveFrom site loads, put your cursor in the input field, long press, and select Paste. Then tap on the arrow icon.
Step 5. When the video is available to download, you will get a green button on your screen. Tap on it to start downloading the video to your iPhone.
You will find your downloaded video in the Downloads tab in the app.
Copying links and pasting them in a file manager app on your iPhone does not sound all that convenient to download videos.
Fortunately, you do not necessarily have to do it if you use AnyTrans for iOS to download Facebook videos to your iPhone. It is actually a full suite to manage the data on your iOS devices but it has a media downloader option as well to let you download your favorite content from the Internet.
