If you have been using an Android device and are now switching to an iPhone, you will probably want to transfer photos from your Android device over to your iPhone. This guide shows exactly how to do that using various ways so read on to learn more.
Manufactures have lately developed some of the great cameras on Android devices and they are now able to capture photos of really high quality. If you own such an Android device, you have likely taken a lot of photos using your device. You will probably want to carry these photos even when you switch to an iPhone, but unfortunately, there is no method that teaches how to transfer photos from Android to iPhone via Bluetooth.
The reason is that there really is no way you can send photos from your Android device to an iPhone using Bluetooth. Apple just doesn’t allow their devices to receive anything via Bluetooth from non-Apple devices. You might have experienced this if you have ever tried sending some content from your Android device to your iPhone.
The question then is: how do you transfer photos from Android to iPhone if Bluetooth is not an option? Well, there are other ways as shown below:
If you don’t know what Xender is, it’s an app that allows you to send content to any device that supports the app. The app runs on both Android and iPhone meaning you indeed can transfer your photos from your Android device to your iPhone. It uses WiFi to enable transfers of content so you should be able to use it on your devices.
It’s pretty easy to get the app and to use it to transfer your content. The following shows the steps on how to do that:
Step 1Download and install Xender for Android and Xender for iPhone.
Step 2Open the Xender app on your Android device and tap on the option that reads Send as you are going to send photos from your device.
Step 3A virtual WiFi network will be created by the app. Now, what you need to do is connect your iPhone to this newly created WiFi network by going to Settings > Wi-Fi and tapping on the WiFi network. Your iPhone will connect to the Xender WiFi network.
Step 4Open the Xender app on your iPhone and tap on Receive as you are receiving files on your device. Select the Android device you wish to receive files from.
Step 5On your Android device, open the Xender app and select the photos you want to send and those will instantly be transferred to your iPhone via WiFi.
You have successfully transferred your photos from your Android device to your iPhone.
If you don’t want to use the Xender app for some reasons, you have another way to transfer photos from your Android to iPhone. This method uses your Windows PC or Mac as an intermediary device to transfer content.
This method is pretty simple. All you need to do is transfer all the photos from your Android device to your Windows PC or Mac. Then, connect your iPhone to your PC or Mac and sync photos with it using iTunes. Your Android photos should instantly be available on your iPhone.
That’s how you can transfer the Android photos without using WiFi.
If you were worried you wouldn’t be able to transfer photos from Android to iPhone, you don’t need to worry anymore as you have some easy methods to accomplish the task as shown in the above guide. Feel free to use the above methods to securely and easily transfer your photos.
