iPhone 5s Has Been Announced

iPhone 5s is a touchscreen-based smartphone developed by Apple Inc.. It is the seventh generation of the iPhone and succeeds the iPhone 5, coming in gold, silver and space gray.

Released Date

Apple has officially announced the iPhone 5s during a media event on September 10, 2013, and the smartphone will be released on September 20, 2013. The apple has claimed it as the most forward-thinking smarphone in the world.

Availability

According to apple, iPhone 5s will be available in the US for a suggested retail price of $199 (US) for the 16GB model and $299 (US) for the 32GB model and $399 (US) for the 64GB model. iPhone 5s will be available from the Apple Online Store.

Distinct Features

Similarly to the iPhone 4s, the 5s is a revised version of its predecessor and it has maintained the 4 inch screen and has incorporated a similar exterior design but there are something special.

1. A7 Chip

   The new A7 chip makes CPU and graphics performance up to 2x faster than the A6 chip. A7 makes iPhone 5s the first 64-bit smartphone in the world - that's desktop-class architecture in a super slim phone.

2. M7 coprocessor

   The new M7 coprocessor is designed specifically to measure motion data from the accelerometer, gyroscope, and compass - a task that would normally fall to the A7 chip, in a result, less battery power is required.

3. Touch ID

   The iPhone 5s also notably includes a redesigned home button with a built-in fingerprint scanner known as Touch ID, an innovative way to simply and securely unlock your phone with just the touch of a finger.
