Choose the setting you want to set among "Mac App Store", "Mac App Store and identified developers" and "Anywhere" ("Mac App Store" option allows users to open apps that downloaded from Mac App store. "Mac App Store and identified developer" option gives users authority to download apps from Mac App Store and identified developer. For "Anywhere" option, it allows application to run regardless of their source on the Internet).

Step 6. After that, click on Lock again to save and lock the settings.
Note: The default setting for Gatekeeper in OS X Lion v10.7.5 is "Anywhere".
