Why Do iPhones Drop Calls?

  1. iPhone usually drops calls because of a bad signal in the region from which you’re making the call. So if your call was suddenly interrupted, you should check how many receptions bar the iPhone has. Moving within a few feet radius won’t resolve the issue, and you’ll probably have to wait until you arrive in the area in which your carrier has good coverage.
  2. Besides poor signal, pending iOS updates, damaged SIM cards or even the change of a time zone can cause the iPhone to drop calls. Moreover, your iPhone’s RAM may be overwhelmed by the apps you’re using or some other software bug may be causing the problem.

In any case, you don’t have to be a tech wiz to sort this issue out on your own, although contacting your carrier may be necessary.

If your iPhone keeps dropping calls even though it has a good signal, then the problem is most likely created by malfunctioning software or hardware. Here are a few things you can do that should prevent the iPhone from dropping calls.
