Do you need to save Kik pictures? If you are unable to find the solution, read the guide and get your favorite Kik pictures stored step by step.
Although it has been around for more than a decade, Kik isn’t as popular as messaging apps such as Messenger or WhatsApp. Even so, the app has more than a hundred million installs and millions of daily users. The app offers a set of features that is standard for messaging apps that enable you to send and receive texts, gifs, photos, or videos.
You shouldn’t worry if you’re new to Kik and you still don’t know how to retrieve images from conversation streams in the Kik app, because this process is incredibly simple and it takes just a few moments of your time.

All images you take within the app are stored in a folder located in the phone’s picture gallery, and you can access them whenever you need them. However, the pictures you receive stay in the conversation and you can’t access them outside the app.
The app offers several ways to download the pictures from a particular conversation to your phone, and the location where they’re going to be saved depends on the download method you used. If you opt to take a screenshot of the photo in a Kik conversation, you’ll find the new image in the phone’s screenshot folder.
On the other hand, if you used the download option, you will find the picture on the device’s camera roll. Either way, accessing Kik photos is a straightforward and effortless process even people who aren’t tech-savvy can complete with ease.
You have several options at your disposal if you want to save the photos you received in a Kik conversation. Therefore, here’s what you need to do to save or download a Kik photo:
Step 1. Launch the Kik app and open the conversation in which the photo you want to save is located.
Step 2. Find the photo and long-press it. Shortly after a prompt will show up on the screen asking you if you want to save that photo. Alternatively, you can tap on the download arrow after releasing the photo.
The image will be saved to the phone’s camera roll, regardless of the method you choose. Also, you can use your device’s screen capturing feature to create a screenshot of the image you want to save.
Step 1. Install and open the AppTrans on your Mac or PC and use the USB cable to connect your mobile device to the computer. Click on the App Backup icon that is located on the left side of the AppTrans’ welcome window.
Step 2. Proceed to click on the Back Up Now button, and then confirm which device should be backed up. You’ll have to enable the Developer Mode on an Android Smartphone so that the software can recognize the device and make sure that the File Transfer option is enabled on your phone in case this is your first time using AppTrans to back up your phone.
Step 3. Click on the Back Up Now button located between the Smartphone and the laptop icons. The software will show you the list of all the apps on your phone, so you just have to scroll down until you see the Kik app. Select the Kik icon by clicking on the checkbox next to it, and click on the Back Up Now button to start backing up the app’s content.
Step 4. Wait until the backup process is completed and head over to the designated folder to which the media files were stored.
Images you receive through Kik Messenger, don’t have to remain locked in the app, since saving them to your phone takes just a few taps. The app offers both Save and Download options that store the image on the device’s camera roll. Using a third-party app like the AppTrans will enable you to move all the Kik photos to a folder on your PC or Mac.
