Restore iTunes Backup to Phone

Step 1. Download & Install PhoneTrans on Your Computer.

Before you start to restore iTunes backup, get the tool downloaded onto your computer. Please make sure the network is stable while downloading and installing PhoneTrans on your computer.

Step 2. Select the Phone Restore Option.

Please launch PhoneTrans on your computer and select Phone Restore option.

Then, please choose iTunes Backup option and click Start Restore button to start the next step.

Step 3. Connect Your Device to the Computer with a USB Cable.

This guide takes restoring iTunes backup to iPhone as an example. Please connect your iOS device to your computer via a USB cable. By default, PhoneTrans will detect your device soon. If you don’t connect your iPhone to computer or your iPhone is not recognized, you will see the interface as below.

If PhoneTrans is unable to recognize your iOS or Android device, you may try these troubleshooting steps to solve this problem.

Once your device is detected by our software successfully, the interface below will display. Then, please select a wanted iTunes backup.

Step 4. Click Selective Restore Button.

Currently, PhoneTrans supports to restore the whole backup and restore specific type of data to iOS device or Android device. Here, we just take restoring specific type of data to iPhone as an example, and please click Selective Restore button to start restoring.

Step 5. Select the Data Type and Click Restore Now Button.

After you click the Selective Restore icon, all supported file types will be listed on the software.

Then, please select the data type you want and click Restore Now button to start restoring process.

If the iTunes backup is encrypted, you need to enter the password to unlock it.

Step 6. Wait for the Restoring Process.

After you click Restore Now button, the restoring process will start automatically. It may take a few seconds to restore, so please just keep patient.

To use Restore function, please turn off Find My iPhone/iPad/iPod touch option on your iOS device.

Step 7. Succeeded in Transferring Data.

Once the transfer process completes, you will see the Successfully transferred page. And all data will be restored to your device. To go back to the previous interface, please click OK or Back button.
