If you have switched to an iPhone and are looking for ways on how you can transfer your Line chat history from your Android phone over to your iPhone, the following guide should help you out. It teaches how you can import your Line chat history to your iPhone.
If you have finally made the switch from an Android phone over to an iPhone, you will need to do a few things before your iPhone has all the data that your Android phone had. While most multimedia data such as photos and videos can easily be transferred from one device to another, there are types of data that will take more efforts to transfer to your iPhone.
One of these data types is your Line chat history. You can always install the latest version of the Line app on your iPhone but doing so will not carry along your old chat history with you.
In order to bring your chat conversations from your Android device to your iPhone, you are going to need to perform a few steps as shown in the following guide. The following steps should enable you to transfer your Line chat history from your Android device over to your iPhone.
The procedure is divided into two sections where the first section is suitable for those of you running Android 7.0 or later and the second section should work for the devices running Android 6.0 or older. Let’s check them both out:
Make sure your device runs Android 7.0 before you perform the following steps. You can check your version of Android by heading to Menu > Settings > About phone.
Step 1: Launch the Line chat app from your app drawer and tap on the settings icon. Select Chats followed by Back up and restore chat history. Tap on Back up to Google Drive.
Step 2: Your chat history will be backed up to Google Drive. When that is done, uninstall the Line app and install an older version of the app on your device. When it is installed, head to Settings > Chats > Back up and restore chat history and tap on Restore to restore your chat data.
Step 3: Open any individual chat, tap on Settings > Backup Chat History, and select Backup All Data. Do not select the option that sends your chats to your email. Do this for each of your chat conversations.
Step 4: Connect your Android device to your computer, find the LINE_Backup folder, and copy the folder to your computer.
Step 5: Head over to the App Store on your iPhone and download, install, and log-in to the Line app. Plug-in your iPhone to your computer, launch this software and select the Import from Line backup file option.
Step 6: Next up is right-click on the newly created database and select Transfer Messages from Database to iPhone.
You should find your Android Line messages on your iPhone. That is how you transfer your Line messages from Android to iPhone with ease.
If your device runs Android 6.0 or a lower version, here are the steps for you to get your Line chats on your iPhone.
Step 1: Download and install the Backuptrans software on your computer. Enable USB debugging on your Android device from Menu > Settings > Developer options and plug-in your device to your computer.

You are all set. Your Line messages have been successfully migrated over to your iPhone.
