iOS Backup Cleanup
Given the security of data, iTunes or other 3rd party apps will help you back up your iOS device contents to your computer. These data may become useless and redundant after a period of time. iOS Backup Cleanup option helps locate and clean them to regain more free space. Please refer to the detailed guide to make good use of MacClean.
Step 1: Preparations.
- Open MacClean from your Dock or Application List
- Click Optimization Tools (1)
- Choose iOS Backup Cleanup (2)
Once you open MacClean successfully, you will see the interface below:
Please select iOS Backup Cleanup under Optimization Tools. Then, you will see the interface as below:
Step 2: Analysis.
- Tick backup files you want to delete from the list (3)
- Check total space you can reclaim (4)
MacClean scans and lists backup files on your Mac by device name and type. To manage data before cleaning them, you can check your scanned data by date/size in descending or ascending order (5). To go back to previous page, please click Start Over button (6).
Step 3: Cleanup.
- Click Clean button (7)
- Click Remove button (8) after reconfirming
You need to confirm the cleaning process again before clicking Remove button. To abort the cleaning process, please click Cancel button (9).
Please notice that once you delete the data with MacClean, it will be erased permanently. Please be cautious before starting the cleaning process.
After finishing cleanup process, you will see the Cleanup Complete page. To go back to the previous page, please click Start Over button (10).
