Step 1. Connect a Micro SD Card via a Card Reader.
Download and install DroidKit on your computer. Then, launch DroidKit on your computer and choose “Data Recovery from SD Card” mode.

Then, please connect your SD card to the computer. Please get your SD card connected: using a card reader.

Step 2. Select a Recovery Mode to Scan Your SD Card.
DroidKit provides two modes for SD card recovery. You can try the “Standard Recovery” mode first. If you can't find what you want, you can try the “Advanced Recovery” mode later. Using “Standard Recovery” mode, you can choose to scan for only deleted files or scan for all files on your SD card. “Advanced Recovery” mode will help you find more complete files.
Take “Standard Recovery” for an example. Please select “Standard Recovery” mode and then please click “Next” Button.

Step 3. Wait for the Scanning Process.
Using “Standard Recovery” mode, you can choose to scan for only deleted files or scan for all files on your SD card. The time to scan SD card varies based on the size of data. Please keep patient.

Step 4. Preview And Recover Data from Your SD Card Selectively.
After the scanning process, all found files will be displayed in categories. From the left sidebar, you can click different data types to display the corresponding results. You can selectively check or un-check the files and then click "To PC" to start the data recovery process.

The scanned data can only be restored to PC instead of SD Card itself currently because of SD Card principles. If you want to transfer data recovered to Android device, you can give Data Manager a try.

No. DroidKit does not support recovering data from formatted SD cards. It can help recover deleted files from supported SD cards, provided the card has not been formatted and the lost data is still recoverable.
3. Does DroidKit support all SD cards?
DroidKit supports SD cards formatted with FAT32, FAT16, and exFAT file systems.
4. Is DroidKit SD Card Recovery available for both Windows and Mac?
Yes. DroidKit supports both Windows and Mac computers.

5. Can I recover data from an SD card without connecting my Android phone?
Yes. You can remove the SD card from your device and connect it directly to your computer using a compatible card reader. DroidKit can then scan the card for recoverable files.
6. Will recovering files with DroidKit damage my SD card or overwrite existing data?
DroidKit scans the SD card for recoverable files, but no recovery process can guarantee zero risk. To avoid overwriting lost data, stop saving new files to the SD card and save recovered files to your computer or another storage device instead.
7. How do I recover deleted files from an SD card using DroidKit?
Follow these steps to recover files from a supported SD card:
a. Download and install DroidKit on your Windows computer.
b. Remove the SD card from your device and connect it to the computer using a card reader.
c. Launch DroidKit and select SD Card Recovery.
d. Choose the connected SD card and start scanning.
e. Wait for the scan to finish and preview the recoverable files.
f. Select the files you want to restore.
g. Choose a destination on your computer to save the recovered files.
8. Can I preview files before recovering them from an SD card?
Yes. After scanning the SD card, DroidKit lets you preview supported recoverable files and select the items you want to restore. This helps you recover specific files instead of restoring everything.
9. What should I do if DroidKit cannot detect my SD card?
First, make sure the SD card is properly inserted into the card reader and connected to your computer. Try another USB port or card reader, and check whether the card appears in your computer's disk management utility. If the card is physically damaged or cannot be recognized by the computer, DroidKit may not be able to scan it.
10. Can DroidKit recover files from a physically damaged SD card?
DroidKit may recover data from an SD card that has logical errors, provided the computer can still recognize the card. However, it cannot guarantee recovery from physically damaged cards. If the card is severely damaged or repeatedly disconnects, consider consulting a professional data recovery service.
