Messages Management

If you just encounter the similar issue above, don't worry. You can try “Messages Management” mode to manage your messages/iMessages on iPhone. The following instructions will help you do it.

Step 1. Download AnyTrans on Your Computer.

Before managing messages, please download and install AnyTrans on your computer. Please make sure the network is stable while downloading and installing AnyTrans on your computer.

Step 2. Connect Your iOS device to the Computer via the USB Cable.

By default, AnyTrans will detect your iOS device automatically. If you don’t connect your iOS device or your iOS device isn’t recognized, you will see “Please connect your iPhone/iPad/iPod” interface.

Once your iOS device is recognized, the interface below will display.

If AnyTrans fails to recognize your iOS device, you may try these troubleshooting steps to solve this problem.

Step 3. Select Messages Option.

Please choose Messages option. If you have a backup, it will load messages automatically. If you don’t have any backups, please click Back up Now button to detect messages. It might take some minutes to back up your messages based on the amount of the data on your iOS device. Please keep patient. After the back up process is completed, it will display all the messages on your iOS device like the interface below.

Manage Messages on Your Device

1. Apple values user’s privacy, so it won’t let the third party software to detect your private mail, messages and Safari history directly. As these data are stored in Sandbox, you only can access them when you already had backups or had finished backup your device.

2. Apple will not let the third party to detect your encrypted backup for protecting user’s privacy, so please uncheck encrypted backup firstly to make AnyTrans detect your data.

Step 4. Transfer Your Messages.

Please choose the messages you want to transfer, click To PC button and choose export format of messages. You also can:

Refresh: Refresh the interface to load messages correctly.

Print: Print messages.

Step 5. Transfer Completed.

Once the transferring process is completed, you will see Transfer Completed Page. To locate messages exported on computer, please click view files button. To transfer more messages, please click transfer more items or Close button.
