Remove iTunes Backup Encryption

To set passcode for iTunes backup will protect the privacy and safety for your important data. But sometimes you may forget the iTunes backup passcode and don’t want to encrypt iTunes backup in the future. Step 1: Preparations.

Do as following:
  • Launch AnyUnlock on your computer
  • Click Remove iTunes Backup Encryption option
  • Connect your iOS device to computer with a USB cable

Afrer clicking Remove iTunes Backup Encryption option, AnyUnlock will automatically recognize your device. If your device failed to be recognized by our software, you will see interface like below.

If your device is detected, the interface below will be displayed.

If AnyUnlock failed to recognize your iOS device, you could refer to troubleshooting steps to solve this issue.

Step 2: Removing.

Do as following:
  • Click to begin the removing process

After clicking button, removing iTunes backup encryption will start automatically. It will take a few minutes to finish the process. Please kindly wait in patience.

1. For device with iOS 11 and above, you need to turn off “Find my iPhone” on your device. For device under iOS 11, you don’t need to turn it off.

2. For device with iOS 11 and above, your Apple ID account will not be removed after the process and device data will not be erased. For device under iOS 11, your Apple ID account will be removed but there is a possibility that your device data will be erased. Please be cautious.

Step 3: Completed.

Do as following:
  • Check the result
  • Set up your device

When iTunes Backup Encryption has been removed successfully, you will see interface as below. Your device will be restarted after the process completes.  To go back to previous interface, you can click or button. If you want to go back to home interface, please click button.
