Losing your precious memories in the form of photos is really saddening but there is nothing you can do about it. However, one thing you can do is try a few recovery methods and see if they can help recover your photos.

There are multiple ways for how to recover deleted photos from a Huawei device and your probability of recovering your photos is really high with these methods. Part 1. Restore from Recently Deleted Folder

The way it works is that when you delete a photo from your phone, it does not actually get deleted. Instead, it is removed to an album where all of your other deleted photos are saved. These photos are only kept for about thirty days after which they are permanently removed from your phone.

If it has not been thirty days since your photos got deleted from your device, you can actually access that special album and get your photos recovered back to your device. You can choose what photos you want to restore with this method and only the select ones will be restored.

Step 1. Launch the Gallery app from the app drawer on your phone.

Step 2. When the app opens, tap on the option that says Collections at the bottom. It will let you view your albums.

Step 3. On the Collections screen, find the album that says Recently Deleted and tap on it to open it.

Part 2. Retrieve from Huawei Backup

Huawei provides you with two tools to let you create and restore backups on your phones. One of these is an app called Backup that comes preloaded on your phone. You can use it to create backups of your phone and then restore them when needed. The other option is to use Huawei’s desktop app called HiSuite that also lets you create your phone backups.

If you used any of these methods to create a backup prior to getting your photos deleted, you can actually restore the backup and it will restore your photos on your phone. It only takes a few clicks to restore deleted photos using any of these methods and the following should teach you how to do it.

Keep in mind that these methods will factory reset your phone. Therefore, proceed with caution.
