1. Launch iTunes on your Mac or PC computer > Connect your iPhone to the computer via USB cable.

  2. Open Time Machine and Finder.
  3. Click Go and then Library in the Finder.

  5. When the messages folder shows, find ‘chat.db’ file.
  6. Confirm the date that includes the files you were deleted.
  7. Select it and click Restore. Note that this way will restore the whole iMessage database and replace the current data like restoring iMessages from iCloud.
